I think EPO and the ex-premies have done a huge public service and have helped a lot of people to get out of the cult, and helped others not get involved in the first place.  Of course, before EPO can really help anyone break free, they have to be to a point where they are at least somewhat open to the information.  But as we know, even just based on the anecdotal reports of many, probably hundreds at least, of people who have come forward on the Forum and said EPO was instrumental in helping them get free, there has been a lot accomplished and EPO is still relatively new, just about 4-5 years of being around and supplying the truth about Rawat (I'm talking about the post-Dettmers period).  This cannot be underestimated, and as premies get to the point where they are able to hear it, it will be there for them.

It's clear the cult got freaked by this, hence all those attacks by premies and the cult against ex-premies by means of websites, letters to employers and all the other stuff they pulled that all backfired.  I strongly believe Rawat himself was very concerned about it and encouraged premies to "do something" because of the number of people who were leaving his cult as a result of being helped by EPO.

Regarding the future of the cult, I think in India there will ostensibly be lots of "students" but it is an entirely different thing there, and not at all comparable to what the cult is in the west.  People there have many "gurus" and it's just a different culture.  Plus, I'm sure Rawat's brother has as many, if not a lot more, followers than Prem does.

I think there are maybe 3000 "active" premies in North America (and that's being extremely generous) -- "active" meaning they would probably go to an "event" with Rawat if it was not too far away, and might give money on occasion.  However, they probably would NOT tell anybody about knowledge, or bring anybody to a program or get them involved.  I think most premies tell nobody about their involvement with Rawat.  EPO has really helped there, too, because every premie knows that whoever they tell can go to the internet and get information that might be hard to explain.

I also think people will stay premies if they believe they are getting something out of it, even if it's as nebulous as being "saved," or having the "opportunity" to be around the Perfect Master, or even if they are staying because they are afraid they will really have a screwed up, miserable life if they leave.  Also, it seems that you can be a premie without really having to do too much, so there isn't a high cost involved for many people, so I guess they could say they are premies go to an "event" every now and then and that's it.  So, another factor is what do you mean by being "involved?"

This raises another point.  When we say the "Rawat cult," it depends on what and when you are talking about.  Is it the cult as it was in 1980, or the cult in 2004?  They have the same essential mind control techniques, but otherwise they are completely different.  Rawat has abandoned everything but the pretense of doing large-scale "propagation" in the West, there is no talk about "bringing peace to the world," or "establishing peace in our time," which was still part of the dogma in 1980.  It no longer has any type of Millennialism.

I think the cult will continue to change and it will mostly just be stripped down-- being really small, mostly older people with almost zero propagation, or just enough to keep a donor base to fund Rawat's standard of living, which requires either a relatively large number of wealthy premies, a  number of premie businesses, or a larger number of people who will make smaller donations.

If you look at what is going on, the cult is putting most of its money into trying to salavage the reputation of Rawt through PR.  Other than some reference to some kind of vague, complicated, warmed over old stuff, called "Keys" (which is the 1,000th rendition of yet another "thing" that is going to finally make knowledge take off and be accessible to the masses), with respect to propagation, there is zero going on.  I don't see that ever really changing.  Rawat can't raise his visibility too much.  If the press ever gets interested again, that's bad news for him.
