I don't know about you guys, but I'm still kind of disoriented after reading John MacGregor's post,  and I know it's his personal crisis and I don't think it should be dwelled on, because in a way it's none of my business, but I can't help thinking that it probably is just a more extreme example of what has been going on for a long time -- really ever since ex-premies starting conversing with each other on the internet and then compiling all of that and other information onto a website that anybody with a computer and the inclination can read.

It just seems to have hit this huge, exposed nerve in the Rawat cult, and actually, I'm not exactly sure why, because most premies seem to say they "don't care" about it anyway.   It just seems that for a segment of the Rawat cult they care very deeply about it, and  there really aren't any limits on what they might do in reaction to it.  Have we seen a limit yet?

I think the first big revelation of this I had was 3 years ago, when the "Citizens Against Cyberstalking" websites showed up out of the blue, that not only accused a bunch of ex-premies (virtually all of whom had been posting on the internet using their own names because they have no problem standing behind what they say), of being criminals, and, even putting up our pictures with rapists and murderers.  The whole point was blackmail, to try to scare people from publicly talking about the cult. I remember at the time in my (in retrospect) naive view of things that I never expected that premies would do something like that.  I was wrong.

I talked to premies who condemned those websites, but most of the others were mostly silent.  I guess they "don't care" about that either.

But that was a big deal.  I mean that took a lot of money and effort.  If you recall they went so far as to have the website server set up in Russia to evade detection.  I mean, this was a big deal, not some idiot premie renegade, like some of the other really laughable attempts to got after us.  No, that was really different.  This was organized, financed, and ruthless.

And now John's situation which really brings it to a very personal level, to the personal destruction of a life, of a real person, who so many premies liked, even loved, at one time.  Like Neville said down below, I guess we should all be realistic about this and what and who we are dealing with.  I don't know if the cult has just gotten more desperate or what, but something is definitely going on, that wasn't before.

So, I guess one of the lessons to remember is what this ex-premie discussion group is all about, really.  Because if you give the cult an inch, they will probably take it. It's just clear than in John McGregor's situation EV has shown that it is  prepared to do.   I don't think this is an "us vs. them" situation and I also think if you start to feel that way, maybe it would be good to pull back for awhile.  I know I've taken long periods and just ignored all this completely, and it really is good to give perspective.

But there is no doubt in my mind that any ex-premie  who seriously goes down any route that could affect the financial wherewithall of Rawat or his cult will face all the wrath of people for whom Rawat is still the Lord, and who have no normal human restraints whatsoever, since it is all maya and he is the Lord.

Just thinking back on it, over the past couple of years I have spoken with two premies who I knew in the 70s and 80s and they still think like this !

Clearly premies are individuals and many, probably the vast majority are not in that group.  Or maybe they think that but would never use it to rationalize destroying people, but clearly, there are those others.

Do you guys feel the same way?
