Yeah, it's true.  Tit for tat is a maddening and juevenille way to think and try to argue.  For one thing, it never, ever ends!  That's why I'm also glad that the mods don't allow the "usual" premie trolls to come here to abuse and taunt.  That helps eliminate the urge to indulge in tit for tat.
