As I see it, John Macgregor seems to feel the sword of Damocles hanging over his head. by a hair. ( you all know the story - he gets invited to dinner and his host has suspended a sword from the rafters over his place at dinner, I forget why or in what context, but you get the picture).

True or false? I don't know.

I'm beginning to see a pattern emerge however, and that is the threat of money and the suggestion of powerful resources to those who don't have an equal amount. Undemocratic, intolerant, very common? Yes to all those three.

And then there is the law, which in John's case, has really proved itself to be an ass one more time. Finding for a sectarian leader of a unique religious persuasion against a journalist who's crime to me seems to be that of receiving leaked documents about some dubious accounting practices ( another very tricky field, corporate accounting). I know they are tricky, I've read and analysed them and reported their obvious flaws to the Australian Taxation Office and the Queensland Government. As a dutiful citizen of my country.

Yes there are laws for the common good, believe it or not. I spend time in Switzerland, where the law works better than in most places, and it is still respected by the citizenry.

Well I take full responsibility for my actions of being a whistleblower about what I saw looked very like  highly suspicious money practices.

Do you, dear premie readers, put Prem Rawat above the law of the land? After all, our forebears fought for centuries for the kinds of freedoms we have today in the west. I feel like jealously guarding those freedoms.

I am sorry if people, including Prem Rawat took offence at my actions , but of course I am only responsible for my own actions, not theirs.

I actually don't feel like apologising to Prem Rawat at all, nor do I think I have anything to apologise for. I think from observation that he has all the hallmarks of someone who has been getting his own way for a very long time. Without challenge, and guess the no-brainer result.

So just for the record, I am proud of my actions in pointing out suspected wrongdoing in financial matters that affect my society and my country.

Anyway enough soapbox. I am writing this as an antidote to John's post, which I've commented on earlier.

best

Nya
