As EPO webmaster I recently received a request from an ex-premie to remove his surname from some of his posts in the 'Best of Forum' section on ex-premie.org, because he finds it embarrassing that searches on his full name bring up these posts. This request closely followed a request from another to remove his name from an article. I haven't counted but I have probably dealt with about 30-40 similar requests since taking over EPO.

Elan Vital claims active ex-premies are a small group that do not speak for the vast majority of former premies. They claim that this majority have decided that Rawat's teachings are not for them, and have moved on harbouring no illwill. I think the truth is that the vast majority of former premies are ashamed of, and embarrassed by, their past, and this is the reason that more do not speak out. These frequent requests to me from those few who have put their names to their testimonies, support this view.

This also highlights the lie that premies tell when they say that ex-premies don't take responsibility for their own actions. If ex-premies felt that Rawat was 100% responsible for their involvement, then there would be no feelings of shame or embarrassment. These feelings exist precisely because we do feel responsible for being suckered.

John.
