The problem with the spiritual route is that in only focusing on light, love and positivity, when it's approached like that, it denies the shadow side. In doing so it denies the social reasons for a sense of alienation from this planet, and being over sensitive which a lot of us were originally it was the perfect get out for avoiding genuine soul searching.
