I know all about the spiritual ego, because I bought into it all the way. I was sure I had been given "the way," and that all those other cults were, well.....cults. We were with the Living Lord -- so we had a pass. Nothing fake about Maharaji. HA!!! Not only a pass, but a way to the "other side" of the shore, because the boatman, Rawat, was going to take us across the rough waters of this world -- to the "other side." (Where would be without Hindu concepts and analogies.)
Joe, I know you can't stand David Smith, and I can understand your hatred based on what he has said to you. But I cringe every time I read about David here on F8. For me, I have a different take. I lived with him in the ashram and knew him and liked him as just a regular person, a regular guy. Granted we were all so deluded that his insanty didn't stand out, but I thought he was a really nice person. Quiet, humble, funny, smart. However, he was cursed with "premie honcho" genes -- tall, some money (I think), conservative, (a community coordinator's community coordinator), poorly dressed, no personal style, soft spoken, subservient, a Divine Light Mission model citizen molded and folded by Rawat into an instrument of his sickness. A shame. Hi, Dave, if you're reading. Your brother, always, OTS. And I'm not kidding.
