So true.  Thanks.

What cults seem to do is give people something, maybe for the first time in their lives, which they choose to believe is ultimate, certain and exclusive.  And since cults also get people not to doubt any of that, and tell them that it's dangerous to think about it, it's easy to be arrogant and hard to have any kind of self-awareness of even being that way.  I had to get out of the cult before I could even see it.

And I agree, it's the same arrogance seen in many of the premies who post here, although there is often a veneer of humility, quickly cut through when the cherished and obsessivly protected belief system is confronted.  I'm sure I would been the same way.

There is nothing worse than the arrogance of feigned humility.
