One of the last Maharaji programmes that I attended was at Wembley Arena in the seventies. There was a huge throne with tons of flowers around it. I remember only one thing from that event and it was the words of a premie early on during the day who came to the mic to give satsang to the thousands gathered there.

He exclaimed words to the effect....

" Wow, you know... looking aound me at all this, either this is real or it is the biggest ego trip of all time".

To me, then,  it seemed incredible that anyone could fake all this. But there appears to be no limit to the sheer arrogance of the ego, and Rawat is living evidence of that.

IMO all `so called` spiritual paths are littered with arrogant fools, pretending to be holier than thou for the benefit of their own little ( or large) ego trips. I include the many millions involved in the worlds oldest religious cults both east and west, Roman Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism etc.. etc...

Nevertheless... it`s a fascinating journey
