The process of deconstructing all this brought me more happiness and relief than I ever felt during my thirty-six-year stint in that cult, especially the wisdom and humor of the posters here. Ask me today and I'd chalk it up to a serious mental distortion (as opposed to illness) that misguided every aspect of my life. (One down and only five to go! ) Chewing gum in his little daughter's hair. What a rotten thing to do and what a fitting analogy for what he did to our psyches.
