Hey, Bob, I built that stage in Chicago.

I really had no idea what I was doing because I was not a carpenter or anything like that. I was at the Divine Sales on the South Side of Chicago right under the 'L' (elevated train) and it was my first time there and they asked me if I wanted to do service and I said yeah.

So, they didn't tell me what I was building really. Like what it was to be used for.

It was a sheet of plywood and some 2 x 4's. I decided to use nuts and bolts instead of nails. I reinforced it a bit with the 2 x 4's and used 2 x 4's as the legs.

When I was at the, what was it?, the People's Church on Lawrence Avenue on the North side of Chicago I saw my creation. Yep, it was the stage that Maharaji sat on in his big ass red velvet chair. And then I think we all walked on my so-called stage to kiss his feet. I was concerned that it would not hold the weight, but it held.

That was my 15 minutes of fame in Chicago before I became a bongo deluxe.
