I've long been curious why ex-premies continue to claim that Maharaji said he was God.
You know, with the capital G, the one that created the universe.
Maybe, he kept it a secret from the rest of us and only discussed it with his "X rated" pals in private.
There has to be more to this than a few ambiguous quotes and old Indian stories.

But describing his close involvement with Maharaji in the early '70's in his radio interview, Bob Mishler said -
"He billed himself as a humble servant of God who was essentially in charge with the responsibility of revealing this knowledge to people by his father who was his guru. At the same time, although there were some people who would say, well, he has to be a god himself in order to be able to reveal God, he would always deny this. He would say : "I make no claims of this sort at all. What I am revealing - it is not even as if I am giving you something - is something that is there inside you. It is there inside everyone.

And Michael Dettmers, in his post of Oct 10, 2000, claims that in his fifteen years of intimate "X rated" involvement from the early '70's to the mid '80's -

"To my knowledge, Maharaj Ji never used the word 'god' to describe himself".

You'd think Maharaji would have let Bob and Michael in on the secret.
I guess you must have needed to be "Z rated" to have heard him say it.
