John Macgregor is a decent, funny, warm, human being for whom I have great respect and regard, both personally and professionally. He signed a crap statement written by some dubious hand denouncing the ex-premies and grovelling to Rawat. At least I believe so because I have second hand knowledge of this statement. But I want to tell you all how shocked I was when I visited John in Asia. He was a shadow of his former self. He wanted to know how bad my reaction would be if he posted a public apology to Rawat. He took that as a litmus test of the apology. He told me that he would literally do anything to get the cult's lawyers off his back, and that I could not understand how broken he was after 18 months of persecution. He advised me over and over again for my own safety to have nothing to do with the cult and not to post on the forum for my own safety. He did not want me to go through what he has been through. He was nervous, insecure, in great despair and putting a brave face on things. I've thought it over, and I think the kindest thing I can do for John, is to bring this whole sorry affair out into the light of day. If somebody has a copy of the statement John signed, please post it here. Let's look at it for the piece of trickery, chicanery and stupidity that it is. And we all know that it is not by John Macgregor. We all have read some very shining examples of the writing of John Macgregor. Let's put the focus where it belongs, on decency, understanding, and good community values. Why don't we publicly expose the plot to undermine and destroy John. He deserves that much loyalty from us. I feel it is a debt of honour, at least on my part, because when I exited, John was there for me. He held a picnic lunch in my honour, he even cooked a chook. Jim phoned up from Canada, and played some loud fuzzy rock over the phone. And I can tell you, that is what made it so easy for me to stop being a gullible church lady in the Rawat cult
