Part of John's problem, as I see it, is that after not one but two significant attacks on the cult, the article and disseminating the leaked IRCC financial docs, he fancied that he could simply walk away from any cult-related issues, that it wasn't really a fight that interested him all that much. Accordingly, he saw himself as the "reluctant warrior" which, in this situation, seemed to lead him to petulance and whining when what he really needed was resolve and courage. And that decidedly "anti-hero" stance is what allowed him to write whatever, sign whatever, cut off his real friends and basically make a mockery of journalism, ex-premies and the truth itself. I can only hope that one day he'll get his backbone back. Until then, sorry, but I do think I'd have acted differently. Hopefully, I'll never have to find out but that's my honest opinion.
