Hobbies are supposed to be fun, not something that emotionally wreck you. But, I don't understand why you're so upset when it's the scholars you promote on Wikipedia that have the point of view (and spread it around) that all apostates are liars.
The comments you made about sexual abuse need to be cleared up, Andries. Please clarify this for me because I think it's due to English being your second language, but how you did write it definitely needs to be explained. I can't let a statement like this stand on this forum without further explanation.
What I am certain of is that there is something like (self-)indoctrination. And the sexual abuse by SSB could only take place due to this indoctrination.
There is indeed something like a strong belief persistance in spite of overwhelming evidence of being wrong. This is something very strange and one could call this mind control but it is not unique to cults.
