I used the wrong word.  I should have said:

"Fine, you talk to Andries..."

I've never presented myself here as a counselor and you ought to know that. In fact, I have made it clear I'm not a counselor because I don't want people to misunderstand me when I talk about things that I am knowledgeable about, such as counseling.

Thing is, I think that it becomes a problem when anyone does come here and thinks that they can get more from this forum than is possible for anyone to give, and they maybe start to feel frustrated because it's not a counseling forum. It isn't one and shouldn't be.  It's not really a support group either.  For me, it's mostly an informational forum about the Prem Rawat cult, and a place for people to come online to discuss their past involvement in the Rawat cult, to whatever extent they feel comfortable.

In the past some people on this forum (some who don't post here anymore) often did offer more in the way of personal one-on-one help to people, both online, by email, by phone, and for some, even in person. I think some of those who did extend themselves that way have long ago burned out or simply moved on.

As always, I definitely recommend that anyone consider professional counseling when they feel they can't handle the emotional stresses of leaving a cult.  There certainly is no shame in getting professional help when it's needed.  My experience has been that getting counseling definitely helps to speed along recovery from any problems, but that also depended upon the extent I was willing to do my own healing work, because the counselors don't do the work, they only facilitate it.

That's why they get the big bucks!
