Record number of new students for Prem Rawat worldwide

London, December 8—This year is proving to be a banner year for Prem Rawat, also known as Maharaji. As his message reaches more people than ever before via television, internet, and radio, the number of people learning his techniques for finding peace within is growing significantly.

This is the first year where the number of people learning his techniques for finding peace within—called Knowledge—has exceeded 50,000. The number of people learning Prem Rawat’s techniques of Knowledge has grown by 270% in the last four years and by 52% since last year, outside of India.

Prem Rawat first brought his message of peace to the West in the early seventies when a handful of students invited him. Since then, the number of his students has grown exponentially. Prem Rawat’s message is made available in more than 88 countries and 70 languages. He has brought to many millions of people inspiration and guidance on how to find peace within and has addressed audiences in more than 250 cities in 50 countries.

This year, the number of sessions where the techniques of Knowledge are taught grew by 76% in Europe and 300% in North America compared to last year. In India, the number of new students grew by 35%. In the North Pacific, the number of sessions more than quadrupled. In South America, there were 1,000 more new students than last year, and in Africa, the number of new students grew by more than 80%.

Last week in Brazil, the weekly global television program Words of Peace, which features highlights from Maharaji's message, received the highest award given by the Brazilian Association of Community Television Channels. Words of Peace is distributed worldwide via satellite in 50 countries and 45 languages. Maharaji's message is made available also via internet radio 24 hours a day in more than 15 languages.

The Prem Rawat Foundation offers a variety of print, audio, and video materials on its website, www.tprf.org, for viewing or download.

Recently, addressing faculty, guests, and students at Harvard University's Sanders Theatre, Prem Rawat said: "There is a peace that resides in the heart of every human being, a peace that is not temporary, not tied to politics. This peace is the presence of something beautiful, not the absence of anything. That’s what I offer to make possible for everyone who wants it."
