It’s not surprising these three entrepreneurs ended up in Boulder, a magnet for counterculture, new-age thinking, healthy outdoor living, and on top of that a college town vibrating with creative ambition. Retzloff and Hassan were followers of the Indian “Guru Maharaj Ji” and had met in 1973 at a gathering in Houston for the guru’s Divine Light Mission, which was headquartered in Denver.
