28th, 2004 conference call .soulchill www.soulchill.com Soulchill Database Ben Salk from Brisbane, Australia talked about his YPI tours around India and Malaysia. Starting with the YPI meeting in Malaysia in October, he drummed up enthusiasm by showing a Powerpoint presentation of how younger people were getting together and making things happen. After meeting Abi in India, he decided not to go home after the events. He toured around Malaysia and Singapore, using "a CD, a video and one body" to get the YPs going! Ben wrote about his tours on www.YPInews.co.uk,I recommend you logging in and reading about it! India YP India YPIIAwanish Bharati, from New Delhi, India, talked about the magic that is happening with the young people of India. He has been touring, much like Ben, to meet with YPs to show them what is happening. He then emphasized that, although he is working with the Indian people, this really is a global movement. We are all working together towards one goal, and with grace and technology, "geography is now becoming history". Rowan McClean, from London, UK, spoke of an unusual (yet fun!) way to make propagation easier. A strong group of 20-30 YPs in London had been putting on regular events in a cinema. They came up with the idea to throw parties that have no direct introduction to Maharaji. By doing so, they would make an environment where it is easier to get to know people and invite them to an event (not to mention, have a lot of fun!). They decided give their parties a brand name, The Thirsty Fish (check out their website: http://www.thethirstyfish.com/). Their first party on New years Eve 2004 had about 100 attendees, and 60 attended their second party on Valentine’s Day. Toronto, Canada soon was throwing parties of their own! At their party, they had 50 young attendees, and they had African drummers and salsa lesson. The North American YPs have been talking about doing similar parties. Just getting everyone together and having fun can do wonders! Non-cred iit Uniiversiity coursesLauren Paul, from Providence, USA spoke about another interesting way to expand Maharaji’s message. At Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, they offer a non-credit course of Maharaji’s message. Universities are interested in extra-curriculum courses that will give the student a more well-rounded college experience. Running these non-credit courses are easy, and it only takes one inspired person! If there are 3 or 4 enthusiastic people at the university, it’s even easier! There is a starter kit available to anyone interested in learning how to do this. It explains each step in the process and gives great advice on the best way to do this! Please email ypwk@whathott.org to get this starter kit emailed to you!Webs iiteswww.whatshott.org London Th iirsty Fiish partiiesOn February 28th, YPs from over 19 countries got a remarkable opportunity to get together and take part in a global Soulchill conference call. YP II toursGabriel Strecker, from Germany, will soon be releasing his website, www.soulchill.com. This website is an exciting public site that features event listings by major city, a talent page for young PWKs, and latest information regarding this beautiful world of Knowledge. This site has a fresh look and a young audience, a perfect place to go when looking for inspiration! www.YPInews.co.uk Chad Williams, from the US, spoke about his exciting new website, whatshott.org. This website is a funky do-it-yourself introduction to Maharaji and his message. It is a flash site that uses a hip hop style to offer the viewer the possibility of this Knowledge in their life. The information is clear and direct, explaining exactly what the purpose of the site is. The visitor can learn more by emailing the site. Materials will be sent to their door! This site can be fun for PWK, too: downloadable mp3s of beats featuring Maharaji’s voice are available in the “audio” section! This site is not for public yet! To check it out now, enter "whatsh2" as the username and password when prompted. YPInews.co.uk has been used for three years nowas a mean for young PWKs to share ideas and get inspiration. A new version is soon to be released, developed based on people's suggestions. It will have great new features that will increase the ability to keep in touch with each other. The new features include: seeing who’s online, private messaging, search capabilities, a Spanish forum, and the ability to link and upload images and music so materials can be shared! Also, other PWK will be able to have "read only" capabilities, so we can all share the magic! If you haven’t already applied for a login name and password, please go to the site and do so. We have Clare Quartermaine to thank for all her hard work on making this site possible! A database website is in the works were YPs can go to find out contact information of other YPs and their skills. This database is still in the infant stages, but we are asking everyone to send their information to ypwk@whathott.org. We wantyour name, location, talents, and a picture! “To know that we were so far and yet so close and that we can do so much by joining our efforts and focussing our passion. Jenny with Luz, Marco, Susana, Jessica, Henry, Débora, and Felix - Perú Ivonne - Rome Vymana with Darma, Diego, and Sol-Pal - Miami “It was beautiful!!! we really enjoyed... in this way the world is so small, being part of the same magic.” Luz with Olivia, Bárbara, and Eddy - Argentina “Thank you so much for a wonderful call...its great to be a part of this” April - Australia "I was on the call and a beautiful woman named Taylor Brown was also on the call. We both enjoyed it so much and were thankful that something like that was able to take place." Scott with Taylor - Boston Newsletter designed by: Lauren Paul, USA * lauren@specmarket.com A special thanks goes out to Wadi for managing the call. Something she said really stuck home to me, and that was, "Let's remember who we're really doing propagation for- it's not Maharaji. Because of Maharaji, definitely, but we're doing this for all those people who don't know of this incredible possibility in their lives." Also, thanks goes out to the organizers of the call: Ben, Janaki, Rowan and Lauren. February 28th, 2004 conference call .Vinay from Johanasseburg and Trisha from Durban spoke about the YPactivities in South Africa. They are focusing on expanding the race oftheir audience, using cool music and video to appeal to young Africans. In addition, they have contacted Indian High Commission to access their contact email list. If the event is presented as entertainment, then all on the people on the list will be invited! Jenny spoke about the small, but very committed young team that theyhave in Lima, Peru. She spoke of an aspirant named Marco who toldher that, since he started to support the Peruvian young team, he has seen how beautiful, inspired, and synchronized they are when we do an event. She also emphasized the importance of having materials in Spanish (such as a Spanish whatshott.org), so the Latin people can have the same possibility as English speaking people. Abi also was on the call, speaking about the increasing efforts inMalaysia and Singapore. Since November, the YPI team in this areahas been going strong! We are proposing to have a YP event with Maharaji in 2004! This proposal is already in motion, so all your attendence and assistance is needed to make this a possibility! We are proposing an event in Orlando, Florida USA, sometime in August. This is an opportunity for us to bond, create new friendships, learn what is happening around the world, come up with strategies and goals for the future, party together and much more. We need to present a number of attendees, so please email ypwk@whatshott.org to say that you can make it! Keep in touch for more details... |
