Well ISKCON didn't use deceptive tactics to gain converts because after all when you are shaven-headed guys singing and dancing around in the streets in orange robes chanting "hare Krishna, etc, etc" it is a little hard to pretend you're anything but Hare Krishnas. Later on though, at least in Australia, they did put on disguises and donate books by their Master to passers-by in the street and then ask for donations and they requested donations for phony charities. |
