I have been a premie since the 70's - and must say, my life has been enriched by practicing knowledge.  I know that isn't something you folks like to hear, but in response to premie spouse's address to premies, I had to respond.  I used to read here alot a couple of years ago - had the same reservations about maharaji & his lifestyle for awhile, but the thing is that every time I went to see him, none of that seemed to matter.  I really don't care who he says he is / was or will be in the future - for me there is so much more clarity  in my life every time I see him.  Alot of times his satsangs don't even make any sense,  but each time I come away with a better understanding of life, and how I relate to it.  To me it was perfectly normal to dance around with an arti tray and sing to him that he was the lord back in the 70's.  But I didn't know what lord meant - still don't.  And I could do service for 60 hours without sleeping & it seemed perfectly normal at the time - I was young & passionate about what I was doing.  Now at 50 years old with a family & mostly  non-premie friends, that all seems ridiculous.  When the ashrams closed it seemed like the perfect time  to me - I didn't want to be in it anymore - I was getting too  old to be sharing a bedroom with six people & wanted to be in a normal relationship.  It all seemed to be a very natural progression..   And no, I never received a card from Maharaji - nor did I ever send him one.  I prefer the real gifts he gave me to a card anytime.  And as for recruiting new people to raise money, that's not going so well as he has been spending 6 months out of the year in India - that's where the real interest lies.  So premie spouse, I don't know if you have knowledge or not, but I only have positive things to say about my experience and the constant evolution of presenting knowledge to the world.
