I am just trying to fill in some blanks for you, not preach. Having been a student of JC most of my adult life, including three years in an esoteric monestary, I have some information that will shed light on this subject.  This is in no way a defense or apology for what PR is doing in the name of all this holy stuff, just some information for you.   Here are just a few references to what you speak of:  There are references to a 'river of living waters' (nectar) and a drink that once taken the participant will 'never thirst again' (for spiritual fulfillment).  There are also references to the Kingdom of Heaven being 'at hand' (here and now) and that it is within you.  Also, there is the 'if the eye is single the whole body will be full of light' quote.  Supposedly, Knowledge was imparted to believers in much the same way as Buddha allegedly did it, by silent transmission of what was referred to as the Holy Spirit in JC's time.  It's all in the old DLM flyers and the Bible itself.   Yes, there are references to Knowledge, but not by that name.  For that reference, you would have to go to Isaiah where he prophecies that one day the earth will be filled with the Knowledge of the Lord, when the child will play by the snake pit  and the lion will lie down with the lamb and nobody will have anything to fear.
