There is a story about Jesus and his disciples sitting around a campfire one night and Jesus asks them who they think he is. One says he's Elijah come back and others say other names. Then Peter (which means 'Rock') says he thinks Jesus is the Christ. Jesus says that flesh and blood did not reveal that to him, but the Holy Spirit revealed it to him (because Jesus had not declared HimSelf as yet), and He went on to say that 'upon this Rock I will build my Church'. He meant the Rock of Peter's faith beyond the intellect and into the Spirit, but the Catholics took that one quote and now say their church is the one true church becuase Peter's bones are in the cornerstone of the Vatican. Things can really be twisted if you are just looking at the literal meanings of things. And you can check that one out with Fr. Mickey if it makes you more comfortable to hear it from a man of the cloth.
