John, do you know WHEN the New Testament was written, and by whom?

GOK,

I've no idea. I do know there's nothing in it about practising techniques of meditation, or about Christ's followers going through any kind of initiation process.

But changing the subject, what do you think of the quotes from Marolyn's satsang in 1978 after four years of marriage to Rawat? If you didn't read it here's what she said:-

" .... we are his children, and he is our father. And it's like, just for me, you know, Maharaji gives himself to me so incredibly and so beautifully, and I tell you when I go to do pranam sometimes it's not, you know, maybe in the best place. There's a chair there or a table, and Maharaji will take his lotus feet and move them towards me, and I tell you, that's the most precious thing he could ever do to me in this lifetime. To just make that gesture, you know like I could have to strain and kinda go under the chair and I could reach, but no he takes his foot and gives it to me to do pranam. In just the subtlest way almost like no one else would even notice it. And it's like, but he's always doing that for us all the time. He flies all around this world to come to us, to give us himself, to give his lotus feet to us, and we have no idea what those lotus feet are. And I feel like blessed is the day that Guru Maharaj Ji's foot touched this earth. I don't know when that was. Sure, Guru Maharaj Ji came into this world on Dec 10th in India and he was here, but ... just the day his feet touched this ground, touched this earth."

"But when we look at Guru Maharaj Ji, and we experience Guru Maharaj Ji, then there is no doubt, and we know, yes, you are my leader and I will follow you, you are my Lord and I am your devotee, you are my master and I am at your service."

I know you wrote that you are only interested in what Rawat himself said, but surely what his wife said is very important evidence of how he wanted to be seen. Certainly, Marolyn's view of Rawat at that time is very different from yours. I'd be interested in your comments.

John.
