The process of exing from the mindset of "belonging" to Prem Pal Rawat is one thing, trying to equate that with Kubler-Ross's guidelines to the process of dealing with death is quite another. Death is a loss, certainly, but (arguably) not all losses are comparable with death.

IMO, the "Acceptance or the Opening Space" is an acceptance of what has happened, i.e. no longer trying to deny the reality of the death/loss.

The acceptance stage in relation to exing from a cult is more to do with accepting that one has spent time, effort, and energy in investing the cult leader with a trust and faith that turns out to have been undeserved, i.e. facing up to the reality that you have spent a portion of your own life in subservience to someone/thing that didn't deserve your faith, and are now coming to realise that you regret it. That is the real loss, and coming to an acceptance of that involves real grieving.

In no way is it meant to mean that the final stage of leaving a cult should result in an "acceptance" of the cult leader and his/her deception (as much as the cult leaders - and their followers - would like that to be the case).
