No, Dog is just trying to help out.

As if exhorting people to go through the various processes of loss to acceptance will somehow bring it on sooner.

I’m not exhorting people to go through the various processes of resistance to acceptance.  I’m just saying, “Let it be.”  Allow the natural six-step process discovered by Kubler-Ross to unfold.

If you feel despair allow it to be there.  Don’t try to cheer up or resist it or distract yourself.  If you feel despair, express it through the natural mechanism of tears.  Don’t try to bring anything on sooner, don't resist your experience.  Let it happen naturally.  Go with the flow.

Dog likes to feel that he is the Minister to the Ex-Premies. Humour him, his is a deluded arrogant - self-congratulatory philosopher king.

Well, some people like to share what they know with others.  I’m just pointing out a process discovered by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross that has helped hundreds of thousands of people to deal with serious grief and loss.  And isn’t that part of what we are trying to do here on this forum?

And as far as my being a “deluded arrogant, self-congratulatory philosopher king” goes, I’ll admit to being arrogant.

Here's a quote from Dr. Kubler-Ross:

"The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths.  These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity and an understanding of life that fills them with compassions, gentleness, and a deep loving concern.
