Hi Jonx,
How are you? I am fine on this absolutely beautiful early fall day here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Actually Rawat did say that devotion was preferable to liberation. Perhaps Hilltop can dig out an exact quote. He said that the most desirable thing was to be SO tied to the living Perfect Master, that when you died you would stay with him and come back as His devotee. He did say that this was much preferable to liberation. I don't know how you could have missed that in his speeches. Also he has made repeated references to reincarnation, so this is not just my imagination or whacko philosophy.
Whew! I guess ex-premies would like to believe they are the ones who see things straight and think rationally and critically. Have a look at Karen! Do you think -- maybe just a little -- if the theory that premie's whacky ideas got in the way of understanding the essence of what K was really about, Karen might just qualify as a candidate for having totally missed the boat? Talk about a whacky belief system! So Jonx, how have I distorted what rawat said? If he has talked about reincarnation (which he has), if he has talked about your last breath (which he has), and if he has said that devotion is superior to liberation, how have I missed the boat? Did I have it all wrong when I wrote the Bhilni poem that Rawat hung on the wall in his own home? Complete surrender - did my ears deceive me, or has Hilltop dug up MANY references to complete and total surrender?
The more I think about Karen's post the more it strikes me just how a person needing a belief system will create one to support and justify what they are doing in their life. Here we have a person who clearly was at one time locked into being a premie via a belief system (Yeah the belief system that rawat taught!) Now that she is no longer a premie she has slightly adjusted her belief system to justify her being an ex-premie. Graphic... yes?!
As I've said many times, the belief system needs to be shed by every premie if they are to understand Maharaji and Knowledge. So, I believed what my Living Perfect Master, Lord of the Universe, Greatest Incarnation of God ever to hit the planet said. How did I create a belief system that he had already created, that needed to be shed? I believed HIS words. I followed HIS agya. I devoted my life to HIM. Are you saying that HE was wrong? I was just doing what HE told me to do. He has gone from being LOTU to an Inspirational Speaker, so now in order for me to truly understand the "I have come with more power than ever before" Master, I have to revise my belief system? Oh, sorry, you said "shed." Well, Jonx, that is exactly what I did. I shed my belief in a lying, pretending, manulipulating, soul sucking, evil person. And, I am still waiting for the Peace On Earth that he declared, swore, he would establish. See this post. http://www.forum8.org/forum8/posts/23327.html So, Jonx, I HAVE shed my belief system. I am liberated from the evil one. And I feel really good about my life. I feel a freedom that I have not felt in decades. I hope that you too will one day see how rawat has manipulated YOU with his belief system. Karen Who stands with a whole book of matches.
