While Downton's sample was quite small the 70's premie population was so homogeneous that it covered 95% of the premies that I remember. Pretty well all of them were ex-hippie, marijuana and LSD using drop-outs. Downton was certainly not a Rawat apologist and although I haven't read the book for a few years I recall it being quite accurate. That post was the Introduction and it is supposed to be neat and reasonably uncritical. |
