There's nothing in your post to John that answers my question. 

Sure there is. You asked if Maharaji was a cult LEADER. The upshot of what I said is that he is a cult leader only to those who get out of it nothing more than following someone whom they've elevated to an exagerated status. If there is not an underlying appreciation for his teaching, being a cult leader is about all that's left for these people.

But not everyone whose status is exageratedly elevated by others is a cult leader, nor is everyone who is loved and adored by their followers. As I said, many great men throughout history could be viewed as a cult leader based on that criteria. Maharaji guides people, who want to be guided, on a path to know themselves. He is therefore much more than just an "exageratedly" elevated personality, and therefore -- for those who seek his guidance -- he is not a cult leader. Over time any exageration of perception projected upon him is tempered toward reality when a person has a true experience of self.
