The logic of "maybe" | |||

Over on Sir Dave' Worldwide Web this was posted by someone with the moniker "maybe".
Exes are once again frothing at the mouth over the old chestnut that M claimed to be the one and only, all knowing God?
Hilltop posts a quote and Joe, Gary and Steve jump in without looking.
The quote says - "It's been said that Guru Maharaj Ji comes, or God comes into the world, when there is a decline in religion. God comes, Guru Maharaj Ji comes and helps the world".
The important words, that everyone seems to have overlooked, are "It's been said".
Any literate person understands that that means the words that follow are not those of the speaker but of others.
And surely others have said it.
M goes on to confirm that he is not the one and only, all knowing God by say "WE have no idea how big it is etc".
Yes, that's right.
He has no idea how big it is!
So he clearly isn't the all knowing God that exes like to think he is.
Actually, "maybe", what's clear is that Maharaji is insinuating that's exactly what happens and that HE is God who has come into the world during this latest decline in religion. If he meant something else, why would he even bother mentioning it? Why would he care what's "been said" if it had no relevance to his message, or in relation to himself? Why, in fact, didn't he quickly followup with what a ridiculous notion this was? He did no such thing, and everybody knows what he was driving at, including you if you had the guts to be honest about it. |
