I think that Nik's summary of what a supposed "new" premie dropping by the ex-premie forum, whether it's #3,#4,#5,#6,#7, or #8 is fairly accurate. The truth is that the number of premies visiting these forums is fairly small. Most premies simply don't want to be bothered by it and don't want to argue about it. I think it would be absolutely fascinating to have real statistics on the demographics of premies posting on this site throughout time. Of course, having such perfect information is impossible and I can only speculate the following: I speculate that over 80% of the premies who "drop" in here are repeat visitors who merely don a new identity and a new game. And I believe that the 80% consists of no more than 10 different people. Ok, with those assumptions let's assume that there's been 300 so-called premies who have posted on these ex-premie forums. Applying the above would suggest that 240 of such supposedly distinct visitors were actually only 10 real people with at least 5 of them coming from Australia. So, now you have 10 people who over the years using 24 distinct posting handles pretending to be "new" to all this and taking the opportunity to provide us with their unique and unbiased viewpoint. Let's further assume that these ex-premie forums have been in operation about 8 years now. So, with 240 phony premie visits in total divided by 8 years you get 30 phony premie visitors per year. And based on my experience that might be a little high, but not too high. I'd say we get at least one or two different "premies" dropping in every month. And with 30 phony premie visitors per year divided by 10 you get about 3 phony personalities done per hardcore premie per year. And the seasoned old-timer can begin to spot the similarities. Actually, I think that my estimate of 10 different premies is 2 times higher than it actually is. I suspect that there are only 5 premies doing their phony "I'm new to all this" game. Thus, with only 5 distinct personalities and writing styles and grammatical error patterns it does become rather easy to spot the ringer. Also, please keep in mind that some, but not too many, of the premies dropping in on these forums to give us their unique and unbiased point of view arrive here as ex-premies and then they slip in their premie propaganda. This forum can be a battleground. There's no doubt about it. There are premies and people working for Maharaji that want to hurt you if you appear to be an effective voice that interferes with the bu$iness of Maharajism. Just wait until you see some nasty lies about yourself on some website (e.g. One-Reality or some forum like the old "Catbox"). You think you've been "hit" here and now? No, not by a long shot. You don't have a clue. Just wait until your employer's Human Resources department is getting emails about YOU suggesting that you be fired for some vicious lie. Wait until you are branded as a member of a "Hate Group" or a white supremicist until you say that you feel "hit". And I don't care if the British version of "hit" is different that the American version. It's all the same when YOU become a TARGET of THEM. And try not to turn this forum into an "all about me and my feelings" kind of place because that (and I am not speaking for the Management here) is not what it's about. Us old timers have seen that again and again. And sometimes of us even play that game and I probably include myself in that list. But, I believe that these forums are for sharing information about being in Maharaji's cult and by providing that real person-to-person information and interaction people can begin to understand that they were in a cult and they can, perhaps, take the first steps in getting out. I believe that in making this forum a personal thing where you feel offended and hurt because someone, typically a seasoned old-timer, is skeptical about some new poster that you are playing into the enemies hands where they want to divide us and pit each other against ourselves. And that certainly has been a tactic of the premies. Don't think they don't know about psychological warfare and all that good stuff. I'm sure that NAR could explain the art of war much better than I can. But, Lexy, I do enjoy your presence but in the long run if you play into the hands of the enemy (the premies who are clearly out to discredit us and disrupt us and the "message" about Maharaji that we want to get across) then I, not that I can or would do anything, would find you to be plain-old naive and annoying and would hope that you get bored and move on. And that is a typical cycle here at the ex-premie forums - people come and they go. Finally, here's a standard message and I don't think it applies to you, but if you need cult exit therapy then see a therapist. If you need therapy then see a therapist. This forum and any other forum are not substitutes for therapy. And that's been said many, many times before and it always bears repeating. If you need a forum that is not so challenging then find a forum on cooking or sports. No, forget sports that's worse than this. Ok, cooking or pets it is then or maybe a nice forum about how wonderful it is to be a grandparent or something. Modified by Babaluji at Wed, Apr 06, 2005, 23:47:46 |
