former followers, who have no similar resraints on their ability to reason and speak frankly, can generally be trusted to be truthful and accurate.  After all, what incentive would they have to lie?

... and you are a lawyer? you must be doing pretty poorly if this is your argument.

What incentives would they have to lie?
- to remove responsibility for their own actions
- they need a way to explain to themselves and others why they were so stupid to spend 10, 20, 30 years in a"cult"
- to portray themselves as "victims" of the nefarious "cult leader" (i.e. if the leader was nefarious, then I was a victim. If the leader is a good guy, and I left after 20 years then I am a moron. So I paint the picture of a "destructive cult" and then I am OK. So obvious.)

I can go on and on, but you get the picture. Ex-followers "testimony" is just that. The phenomenon is well researched.

I am bored with this shit. So I leave it to you to discuss between your little group of "exes", incuding that dutch guy. I may send your way some ex-moonies to keep you company as well.

Peace be with you.
