Andries I like your presence on this forum and believe you receive unwarranted criticism re your academic viewpoints.

However "Christianity" in its many forms is still the dominant religion in our western societies and receives constant criticism in all forms of public media and private exchanges though here it is ameliorated by politeness. Christian apostatism in our society is so normal that it goes completely unremarked. The book stores are not filled with tales of young people growing up in church and leaving it not because of censorship but because no one would buy these books any more than they would buy books giving indepth information about breathing or drinking water to relieve thirst.
