I always learn things from your posts. I looked-up council houses and manor houses and saw the big difference. Our first house a couple of years after the ashrams closed was in Manchester.* We lived on Green Manor Rd. It didn't look anything like the ones I just looked at!

Hope you're making progress on your mini-manor - a manor nevertheless - in that field in France.
