Chilling. I think when you are basically honest person, it's so hard to comprehend someone lying to your face. But pathologic people rarely hang a sign around their neck- " psychopath" and of course they don't admit they are lying. 

Who was it that said maybe someday I will wake up and not be naive? 

Just because it's common it doesn't hurt less is so true of many things in life.  

The cat liar, the hole opening up in your head- it's a weird experience to encounter those folks. 



in a wierd way, reminding myself of history and that history is full of horrible people. You would think that would make you more depressed, but it helps with the gaslighting shock some, and also, history is full of people who tried to do something about it too. 

Another thing that helps is all the truly decent people I know, and that I think really most people are decent and try to do the right thing. 

And what was that little child beside him learning? A lot of movies about that.
