Well howdy folks... pleased to be here amongst ex-premies. What an excellent use for the internet. I would hope that the discussion of this Ji guy could segue into a larger discussion of the role of deception, delusion and narcissism in matters of spirituality in general... I run a website that was put together by followers of Carlos Castaneda, and there is a lively discussion board that addresses many of the same sorts of concerns that you express here. It's like somewhere somebody with a cookie cutter is turning out gurus/naguals/whatever, with designs on cult building and grandiose self definitions. Our boy Carlos had this thing about pretending to be humble... so the absurd declarations of personal greatness didn't quite hit the heights of your guy being "greater than God"...but the sentiment was there. heh... anyway... glad to have found this place, I want to read a little more and get a feel for things... Maybe at some point we can trade links or something. There really is a pattern these guys take on... comparisons are always educational... We can always get into an arguement about who's guru has the biggest ego... heh (we'd win btw) -Richard
