It's not that I don't understand what he said Jim, it's that I didn't have the same response to it you did.

You cannot answer my criticisms of the article with any substance so you attack me personally - as you say, so what's new!

But I was surprised that in your initial reply you said Trump was talking about closing the borders against the virus not for trade reasons - I don't really know how to check that out I did a quick think back and yes it was mid March I was going to Tasmania and there were no travel restrictions in place then, or panic buying - though I remember thinking I did not want to travel through 4 airports with this corona bug around.

Obviously the virus must have already been going in late January but who knew about it?

Even the author is only attempting to credit Trump with prescience! If he knew the virus was coming out of China then and was sufficiently alarmed to want to close the borders, why didn't he warn the world?
