now we're getting to the real crux of the matter. What do Germans REALLY do when they go on those seemingly innocent walks?! We used to have this kind of screen thing around our bed. Some old fancy woody thing with Jungendstil drawings from Max Ernst. They were mostly young damsels bathing in lakes with incubi or whatever their called – those devily looking things – peering at them behind bushes and other low level erotic depictions. I hated this thing. I found it so oppressive to have to sleep under and insisted it be removed. But it actually belonged to my German parents-in-law who thought it was the cat's pajamas. I don't know what that all means, but it means something I think. Walks in the woods and damsels bathing in lakes and the Easter bunny. Somehow it all comes together in one giant cataclismic Osterspaziergang. Hey, I think I'm having an epiphany! Wait a second! Toby is secretly trying to corrupt our sanctified language!
