It's coming on Christmas They're cutting down trees They're putting up reindeer And singing songs of joy and peace Oh I wish I had a river I could skate away on... Yes, it will soon be very, very cold in Afghanistan, too. My nephew, Captain Ben Lyng is asking us to help dress the kids for the coming winter in the mountains. He is stationed in Kandahar and leads a group who defuse bombs (yeah scarey, I know.) If anyone can get together and send him a small box of warm clothing (clean, used is fine) especially children's shoes, jeans, sweatshirts, socks, etc., please do so. This is not just for US citizens either! I don't see why anyone in the world couldn't send a package. PS If you'd like to slip some homebaked goodies for the guys, into you package, that would be fine, too. And thanks so much you guys, you all really mean a lot to me.
