In the seventies we weren't supposed to THINK at all...but constantly meditate and remember Holy Name"weren't supposed to THINK at all" was a destination and "constantly meditate and remember Holy Name" was the method to use to get to the destination. But why 'desperate'? If that was your interpretation and you were sohung up on it then that was your personal interpretation. If I remembered taht I wasn't meditating on Holy Name then I would start meditating I wouldn't think about how I hadn't been meditating and how much more desperete I must become to constantly meditate ...
I split when things started to loosen up, everything had already been far too loose already and was obviously going nowehere.
