Rennie was one of the main reasons I became a premie and accepted the many (obvious) deficiencies of Rawat and the weirdness of his cult. For many of us back in the early 70s, Rennies bona fides as a committed anti-war activist, defendant in the Chicago 7 trial, etc., made it seem acceptable to be open to Rawat's cult, on the basis that Rawat has some kind of power and insight to bring peace to the world. The anit-war movement was able to stop a war, but that doesn't mean it could bring peace. According to Rennie, it was time for the next step.
I have noticed over the years that Rennie carefully leaves out any mention of Rawat of his cult, or his visible involvement in it, from his resume or history. Occasionally some enterprising reporter mentions it, but they always seem to think Rawat disappeared sometime in the 70s and was just some kind of passing fad.
But thre reality is, that it appears that Rawat is going back to his old jargon and come on, that his "knowledge" will bring peace to the world one person at a time. Although he openly disparaged that kind of talk for many years, we all know that Rawat will do just about anything necessary, revisionsism accusations be damned, to keep his lifestyle financed and fragile ego intact.
So, all the more reason that Rennie should comment on this. La-Ex, you would be a perferct person to do it. I would also be happy to talk to him. Anybody know how to reach him?
