Thanks Joe. That is really interesting for me that you don't have a worshipful nature. Maybe it is not a primary impulse as I thought.

Agree with you about the cause thing. I have that too. I'm doing the usual conscious salving donation thing, but I really would like do more. And probably will when I work out how to be effective.

That desire for a purpose in life maybe is part of the same thing rhough. I certainly never did have any desire to subjugate myself to Rawat's divine glory, merely respect. I could not bring myself to kiss his feet, for example because it seemed so daft.

I'd really be interested in what ratio of people in the world have an inate desire for a 'god', statistically speaking, and then to do some analysis to see if there is a correlation with upbringing, catholicism etc.
