There is no way you can argue that "Lord" and "Superior Power in Person" don't reflect his claim to be God.

Yes, I can.
"Lord" isn't synonymous with "God". "Lord" is commonly used to describe a master, chief, ruler etc.
As in Lord Mayor, Lord Chancellor etc.
You can be a "Lord" without being God.
And what's the big deal about Maharaji being called a "Lord" anyway, after all Maharaji means "great King" and no educated person is going to say "of what country".
It is a title given by people in appreciation and not to be taken literally.
The titles "Maharaji" and " Lord" refer to his position as master, teacher, expert and are given by the people who accept him as master/teacher/expert and have no relevance to people who don't.

"Superior Power in Person"!
For a start it is clear that the "the Superior Power in Person" is not the "Superior Power".
Just as it is clear that when BB King is described as "the blues in person" it in no way suggests that BB King (and only BB King) is the sum total of "the blues" (regardless of time, space and situation) , that the "the blues" cannot exist without BB King and didn't exist before, after and distant from BB King.
Even though people may say "BB King is synonymous with the blues", he isn't.
It just means the BB King is a great exponent of the blues.
Any priest who takes confession, gives Mass or officiates in a religious service can be described as "the superior power in person".
A soldier is "the army in person", not the whole army, just a representation.

"The maker of all things created"?
Since he can't possibly be the literal maker of all things created, it is obviously used in the same way Christians talked about being "born again" and Muslims are "cleansed" after going to Mecca.
That is, everything is new to the "born again".
The idea being that people who receive Knowledge see life in an entirely new way.
That their life and everything in it is recreated anew.
Sure it's over the top but is America the "home of the brave and the land of the free"?
