From my very first post and reading about rawat, my search has been for the truth. Not heresay or quotes or any of a hundred other "proofs". To try and always find the truth, no matter how premies or anybody, twists and turns words to their purpose, is not easy. Damn nearly impossible at times. Still, it's worth it in the end---I hope.

Okay, now I'm really confused.  The truth about Rawat is often best understood by what he himself said.  Likewise for any other so-called Master, I should think.  Yes, there's always the risk that someone might try to twist or distort the meaning of such evidence.  Same as with any other kind of proof, really.  It doesn't mean that you should avoid the evidence altogether then.  You just watch out for its abuse.

The big difference about using Rawat's quotes to understand him and doing that with Christ (or any other historic spiritual leader) is that there's no issue about what Rawat actually said.  That's a non-issue.  With some of the past guys, it's a real toss-up if they said or did anything according to the story.  Go back long enough and it's pretty well impossible to know anything about them with any certainty.  Thankfully we can discuss Rawat without any doubt about this stuff.
