I have a collection of audio tapes of Maharaji speaking and I occasionally listen to them to remind myself of the cause of my past belief system. He generally speaks confidently, often asks us to devote ourselves to Guru Maharaj Ji, to surrender to Guru Maharaj Ji, etc., but he usually sounds sober. I've been listening to one, from Miami, Tuesday 25th December, 1979 (yes - that is Christmas Day, when premies were listening to Maharaji instead of being with their families). Anyway, he definitely sounds drunk on this tape. He says the same sort of stuff, but his words are slurred, not massively but noticably. Anyone remember this program?Anyway, why should I complain - I'll probably have a few drinks too on Christmas Day!
