We all saw those first attempts: smear sites on ex-premies, legal attacks on websites like drek and EPO, pro-websites and finally we ended up with this slew pro Maharaji websites, dozens and dozens of them clogging the internet. That was prong one.

The second thing Rawat had to do is to deal with the press. His first attempt was to hire a PR team and produce these phony articles in vanity type magazines which he could then point to on the web. Of course he jumped on the opportunity to crush John M for his journalism in Australia, hoping to gain an imtimidation factor for any future journalist who might take on this 5'2' tiger, as Paddy so apty pointed out.

The third thing wourld be to neutralize this Forum. The forum has been a thorn in Rawat's side for years now. He needs to deal with it somehow. Of course, about the only thing he can do is to send in confederates to infiltrate and influence the forum and to get Rawat's message into the mix regardless of the context. Classic oppositional PR tactics.

This person, this "confederate" would be part of Rawat's highly paid public relations team and probably never a premie. He has thought this whole forum thing out and I believe his purpose would be to "mitigate damgages."

Here's what this person would be selling: Yeah, Rawat is scum, Nollige is worthless, but nobody really got hurt any more than any other religious trip. Being a premie is harmless.

He'd know we have them dead cold on the character of Rawat, and we won't accept any revison there; he'd be willing to give up the efficacy of Nollige because they know the techniques don't "work" for a lot of people, maybe even the majority.

So what's left? The only thing that matters: damages that might translate into civil action and money awards. To hell with the rest, they need to get us to start saying, yeah, it never hurt anyone, it all just good innocent religious fun.
