Why didn't Susan report the abuse to legal authorities?  The answer is, as she has said, is that she believed that Rawat would take care of the problem, and she didn't want to involve Rawat with an embarassing run-in with the Law.  Remember she was a cult member at the time.

Why didn't Randy Prouty report Jagdeo's abuse to legal authorities in the United States?  Probably because he did report the abuse to Rawat and did whatever he was told to do.  He was a cult member at the time.

Why didn't the mid-wife Judy Osbourne report  Jagdeo to British legal authorities?  Same reasons.

Why didn't Charananand report Jagdeo to U.S. legal authories?  Same reasons.

Should Randy be prosecuted now?  If there is a mandatory reporting law, which there is, then Randy broke the law.  Because he did the wrong thing, more children were abused.  I don't know what the statute of limitations would be in this sort of case, nor do I know what the victims feel about this, nor do I really care much at this point about the legalities that Randy would face.  I think it is more a matter of individual conscience and getting ourselves freed from cults and cult-think.
