I think if there were a pedophile in Ev today, and it was reported to an official, and that official was an educated mandatory reporter, than yes. But it isn't fair to compare then to now. I doubt anyone was a mandatory reporter in 1977. I don't think pedophiles were reported that much. I even wonder how educated the police may have been if Jagdeo had been reported in 77.  I don't think it is at all right to say Randy, Judy etc should be prosecuted. That is way over the top in my opinion.

However, there are reports here of meeting about the Jagdeo problem in the early 80's. And there is the issue of these memory lapses. I do not know if it is criminal to conspire in order to cover up what M knew, but that part seems like it should be a crime. I doubt it is a crime, but it certainly is wrong.

I do want to say though, my mom brought up something I had done in the late seventies I had only the vaguest recollection of. Very vague. It was something I had done that embarrassed me, and under a lot of stress. Is it possible they could forget? I have never believed it was, but premies don't want to deal with things that make Rawat look bad.

A fried said I have a bit of Stockholm syndrome in how I protect them, and it may be true, but I know that being a very into it premie screws up your brain a lot. It did mine. How many of us did something see find shameful in M's name? 

I just don't think it is realistic to think Randy or Judy would have gone to the police. I don't think they, or Charnand, should be blamed for that, given the context and decade in which this occured. On the other hand, if I could go back in time I wish that yes, I had gone to the police. Or if I had chosen an adult to tell, the adult would have said, Susan this is very serious and I am going to help you report this to the police, dont be afraid. But it is very hard for me to see that being what any premie would have done back then. I am not sure that back them the kids or people who were told about the pedophile priest went to the police.
