Or rather you can only see the point from the very narrow perspective of your Rawatist training. For many people it is very important to know something about the character of someone they entrust or are considering giving their trust to as spiritual guide. It obviously makes no difference to you, but why can you not accept the fact that this might be important to someone else? Do you think that your "point of view" is the only one that is valid?
It isn't only about "what Maharaji says". The person on the other side of the soundwaves has a right to consider and evaluate the implications of that message in terms of their own life and values.
