What a stupid comment from reporter. See, I don't always disagree with you. 
I'm not sure how well Hans' numbers can be trusted, but it seems like a hell of alot more people received Knowledge during his reign than Prem has been able to accomplish. Prem has really driven the tractor into the sand. I think it must be obvious to everyone, even alot of his followers, that it is Rawat's own decadence and concentration of resources on his expensive toys and luxurious lifestyle that is the main cause of this. Not only has the opulence chased lots of people away directly, but the diversion of premie energy toward Prem's creature comforts has greatly reduced the available resources for propagation.
Premies like to say that Rawat's lifestyle is irrelevant, but it certainly isn't if Malibu Prem's driving purpose is to spread Knowledge as he claims it is. His lifestyle has been the major hindrance to propagation for the last 30 years and not the premies as he likes to portray it. Even if some of us find his words vacuous, plenty of premies would still be around if it wasn't for his lifestyle. That's just the way it is, even if premies and Prem want to keep sticking their head in the sand.
I can even remember in the 70's most peoples' objections whom we would try to tell about Knowledge were directly related to Prem's flamboyance. So if he GENUINELY cared about propagation, he would just drive a Buick and fly commercial airplanes like the rest of us.
